MSRP for the 6GB model of the GTX 1060 is $300, so a few extra bucks for an overclocked version doesn’t seem so bad today.
MSI’s OCV1 model sports 1280 CUDA cores, a core clock speed of 1544MHz, and a boost clock of 1759MHz. This version packs 6GB of GDDR5 VRAM and has an effective memory clock of 8008MHz. Potential buyers should note that this particular card has one HDMI 2.0 port, one port for DisplayPort 1.4, and a DVI-D port. It’s recommended that you have at least a 400-watt power supply.
This MSI OCV1 GTX 1060 is more compact than typical models as it’s only 7.4 inches long, although it’s still a dual slot card due to the fan height. Again, if you’re interested in getting one of these cards at a fairly decent price, this might be a good opportunity.
