Pokemon Go’s Next Event Announced, Get All The Details Here

The next Pokemon Go in-game event has been announced. The Pokemon Go Adventure Week event begins May 18 at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET and sees Rock-type Pokemon show up in the game world more often.

Some of the creatures you’ll see more of include Omanyte, Kabuto, Aerodactyl, Onix, and Sudowoodo, as well as their evolved forms. In addition to a greater number of Rock-types, the event adds more items to PokeStops, while Buddy Pokemon will receive Candy after walking just one quarter of the normal required distance. There is also a new customization option for your avatar in the form of an “Adventurer’s Hat,” which all players get for free.

The Adventure Week event ends May 25 at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET.

This is just the latest in-game event for Pokemon Go, following one earlier this month where Grass-type Pokemon appeared in the world at an increased rate.

Pokemon Go was released in July 2016 and became a huge hit right away. While its popularity may have dipped, it brought in enough money in 2016 to support developer Niantic possibly forever.
